Alternative energy can fuel fleets
Washington Gas is pursuing innovative pathways to reduce transportation emissions.
WGL has announced that Washington Gas will be moving its Corporate Headquarters to 1000 Maine Ave. SW in Washington, D.C. - The Wharf - in 2018. Washington Gas customers will still be able to pay their bills in person at our walk-in payment centers, which will remain in the same locations.
The Wharf, a $2 billion, mixed-used commercial development, is being built by PN Hoffman on DC’s Southwest Waterfront, with natural gas provided by Washington Gas.
WGL chose The Wharf for its commitment to revitalize the district, create a vibrant business culture and implement diverse and sustainable energy practices.
“WGL is proud to join in one of the largest redevelopment opportunities in our nation’s capital and reaffirm our long-standing commitment to a community we have served and lived in for nearly 170 years. Our new home will improve the work environment for employees, accommodate future growth and be part of an exciting new neighborhood,” said Terry McCallister, Chairman and CEO of WGL Holdings, Inc and Washington Gas. “By supporting the common goal of maintaining healthy waterways and improving the surrounding environment, we’re contributing to the city’s clean energy renaissance.”
