Effective with the July billing cycle, the Montgomery County fuel/energy tax (MCFET) rates billed to customers will be revised to incorporate the change in the PSC assessment dated June 15, 2018.
Utilizing the current PSC assessment factor of 0.001937, which is effective July 1, 2018, and the Maryland Gross Receipts Tax rate of 2.0%, the adjusted MCFET factors will be $0.0972841 per therm for residential customers and $0.1740788 per therm for non-residential customers.
