Natural Gas Service Made Easy

Natural Gas Service Made Easy

For customers looking to establish gas service, Washington Gas is there every step of the way, providing the expertise, solutions and customer service that is required for a seamless process. That’s why when Fisher Custom Homes needed one of their Northern Virginia homes connected to natural gas service, they were confident they would find a reliable partner in Washington Gas.

Founded in 2010, Fisher Homes is a highly sought-after custom home building business owned by Rob Fisher, an industry veteran who has built homes in Northern Virginia for nearly 35 years. Over the past decade, Rob has partnered with Washington Gas on all of his homebuilding projects, and has emphasized the importance and benefits of natural gas service in the home for all of them. Rob sees the efficiency and comfort of gas service as indispensable, not only to owners, but also to his business.

“All the clients today are looking for energy efficiency everywhere they can in the home,” Rob said. “I believe that in order to get top dollar for the houses I’m building, I need to have gas.”

Recently, Fisher Homes built a 7400 square foot speculative home in McLean, Virginia. While the previous home on the lot used natural gas, the desire to maintain the landscape and value of the home meant the service would need to be reinstated. The reconnection process required a high level of expertise, communication and problem-solving. Rob knew he could count on Washington Gas and it’s committed team to get the job done.

When Rob reached out to Washington Gas’ Business Relationship Manager, he was immediately met with a highly skilled and reliable resource who could answer all his questions in a timely manner and coordinate the logistics and people needed for the service reconnection.

The reconnection was completed without a hitch. With gas service established, the McLean home now features high-efficiency gas installations, including furnaces; fireplaces; a 75-gallon, quick-recovery water heater; a Wolf range and a connection for a future outdoor grill. These appliances provide many benefits to the homeowner, including cost savings, comfort, reliability, efficiency and long-lasting ease of use for any home.

Washington Gas supports builders like Fisher Homes through its Eco-Builder Program, which offers customized marketing materials, including signage, gifts and giveaways for new buyers. All marketing materials promote what companies have to offer and what buyers really want – affordable, efficient and comfortable natural gas. In addition to helping market the McLean home, the Eco-Builder Program has also brought community attention to Fisher Homes with advertisements to promote the business.

“People can see my work in print, and I can use them in promotion – anytime you can do that, it’s an advantage,” Fisher said.

As a long-time home builder, Rob Fisher knows the value that a trusted partner can bring to projects like this.

“I’ve worked with Washington Gas for decades,” Rob remarked. “It’s important to have a gas company that is eager to work with you.”
Whether you need a gas service reconnection or help with a new construction project, Washington Gas is eager to partner with you to create gas solutions for a better home.
