NOTICE OF EVENING HEARINGS FOR PUBLIC COMMENT
On April 24, 2016, AltaGas Ltd. (“AltaGas”), WGL Holdings, Inc. (“WGL”) and Washington Gas Light Company (“Washington Gas”) (together, “Applicants”) filed an application with the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“Commission”) requesting authorization for AltaGas to acquire the power to exercise substantial influence over the policies and actions of Washington Gas. According to the application, AltaGas and WGL have agreed to combine, whereby Washington Gas, a public service company operating in Maryland, will become part of the AltaGas family of distribution companies.
On May 31, 2017, the Commission issued Order No. 88233 in the above-captioned proceeding in which, among other things, it directed Applicants to work with the Commission’s Executive Secretary to schedule the dates and locations for two evening public hearings to be conducted in this matter. The Commission also determined that the two public comment hearings will be held prior to the evidentiary hearings.Evening hearings for the purpose of receiving public comment in connection with the Merger of AltaGas Ltd. and WGL Holdings, Inc. are hereby scheduled as follows:
