NATURAL GAS VEHICLES
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a clean, affordable alternative to diesel fuel and gasoline. It’s perfect for business owners and fleet operators looking to save significant amounts in operation and maintenance costs. The average cost of CNG is typically less than gasoline and diesel, and prices are expected to remain stable. Furthermore, heavy duty Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) operate quieter and produce less harmful exhaust than gasoline and diesel engines, resulting in substantial reductions of hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide and greenhouse gas emissions.
In order to meet current emissions standards, diesel engines must be equipped with expensive and maintenance intensive filters and exhausts fluid. Heavy duty NGVs meet current EPA emissions standards without any additional filters and/or exhaust fluid. Natural gas is nontoxic and noncorrosive, so it isn't harmful to soil or water. CNG is lighter than air, and will dissipate into air so vapor clouds and puddles are not an issue.
