The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army offers a variety of social services nationwide. In the D.C. metro area, the local Salvation Army chapter administers the Washington Area Fuel Fund, created by Washington Gas in 1983 to offer home heating assistance to area families in need.

The Alice Ferguson Foundation affords an opportunity for students, teachers and citizens to engage in programs that protect the natural environment, farming and cultural heritage of the Potomac River Watershed’s woodlands, wetlands and waterways.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need help most, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
Capital Area Food Bank
The Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) is the largest, public nonprofit hunger and nutrition education resource in the D.C. metro area. Each year, the CAFB distributes 20 million pounds of food, including 6 million pounds of fresh produce, to more than 700 partner agencies.
Clean Air Partners
Clean Air Partners (CAP) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 partnership chartered by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council. CAP was created to improve public health and the environment by working with businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the region to raise awareness and reduce air pollution through voluntary actions.
Girl Scouts
The Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital includes scouts from the entire metropolitan area, including Washington, D.C.; the Maryland counties of Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George's and Saint Mary's counties in Maryland; Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William counties and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax and Falls Church in Virginia.
Healthy Babies Project
Healthy Babies Project, Inc., is a private not-for-profit community-based organization that designs and administers life-enriching programs to include outreach, case management, health education and community consortia.

Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement (JA) inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. Their volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-through-twelfth grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
