Make a gift to your chosen Washington Gas customer.

Would you like to help a friend, neighbor or family member pay their Washington Gas bill? You can with the Gift of Warmth!

It’s a practical and convenient gift for any occasion. Simply complete the Gift of Warmth form to make a one-time payment (in any amount) to a specific customer’s account. Once complete, Washington Gas will mail a Gift of Warmth acknowledgment certificate to the recipient.

This program was created to provide our community with a means to assist our families, friends and neighbors. The “Gift of Warmth” allows any individual to make a one-time utility payment on a specific customer’s account. The payment will apply as a bill credit on the designated customer’s account.

Yes, Gift of Warmth submissions made are accepted at our walk-in centers. We continue to add additional options to make payments and we will continue to update this page with those options.

You can obtain an online pledge form that can be downloaded and mailed, along with a check or money order in the amount that you wish to: Washington Gas, 6801 Industrial Road, Springfield VA, 22151 Attention: Gift of Warmth.

If you know the name and service address, a customer advocate will be able to assist you with making a payment to the account of your choice by check. Please note due to strict privacy rules, customer account information cannot be provided by a customer advocate.

The GOW donor will need to provide the customer’s name and address to make the payment. As privacy and protection of customer data is critical, no information related to the customer’s account will be shared with anyone not authorized on the account.

Yes, Gift of Warmth payments may be made anonymously.

Absolutely! You can donate to Washington Gas’ signature philanthropic program; the Washington Area Fuel Fund (WAFF). WAFF is a 501c-3 program (i.e., your donation is tax-deductible) that is run in collaboration with The Salvation Army. For more information, go to www.WAFFhelp.org.
