Senior Vice President Capital Delivery, Utilities

 

Marc Simone is the Senior Vice President of Capital Delivery of Washington Gas. In this role, Mr. Simone leads the development and execution of AltaGas’ Capital and Construction strategy in Michigan, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Simone is also President of SEMCO Energy Gas Co. (SEMCO), another AltaGas subsidiary, and in this role manages the SEMCO business in Michigan.

Mr. Simone is an experienced utility executive with background in Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Regulatory and Customer Experience. He spent 16 years with DTE Gas before transitioning to SEMCO for the past 16 years and he recently assumed responsibility for capital delivery and construction for both Washington Gas and SEMCO. Mr. Simone has a demonstrated ability to create positive safety cultures, effective regulatory relationships, and consistent project execution.

Mr. Simone is a Professional Engineer and holds a Master of General Administration degree from Central Michigan University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He currently serves on the Board of the Saint Clair County United Way.
