Megan Roberts‑Satinsky serves as Vice President and General Counsel, Utilities for Washington Gas, where she leads the legal function supporting the company’s regulated utility operations. In this role, she advises senior leadership on complex legal, regulatory, and strategic matters impacting safety, reliability, risk management, and long‑term business objectives.

Ms. Roberts‑Satinsky brings deep experience at the intersection of utility regulation, environmental law, and climate. She plays a central role in the company’s engagement with state public utility commissions, providing legal oversight and strategic guidance for regulatory proceedings, including rate cases, infrastructure investment filings, compliance matters, and contested proceedings.

At Washington Gas, Megan has held progressively senior legal leadership roles, including Deputy General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, with responsibility for environmental and climate matters, litigation, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. She works closely with regulatory, engineering, operations, and business teams to align legal strategy with operational execution and public‑interest obligations in a highly regulated environment.

Prior to joining Washington Gas, Ms. Roberts‑Satinsky practiced environmental, litigation, transactional and administrative law at regional and national law firms, counseling public and private sector clients. Earlier in her career, she served as a judicial clerk at the Maryland Supreme Court and worked as an environmental scientist, which allows her to bring a technical and analytical perspective to her legal practice.

Megan holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Environmental Law from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She also earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Environmental Science from Virginia Tech and Towson University, respectively.
