Washington Gas Announces Additions to Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. — July 1, 2026 — Washington Gas today announced that Gregory “Steve” Proctor, Jr. and Robert R. Rooney have joined its Board of Directors, effective July 1.

These additions will support the company’s continued focus on serving its 1.2 million customers across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and strengthening the region we serve.

Gregory “Steve”Proctor, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of G.S. Proctor & Associates, Inc., where he has provided legislative and administrative representation to a broad spectrum of clients since founding the firm in 1995. Mr. Proctor currently serves on the Executive Board at Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Board of Directors at Wesbanco Bank, CareFirst Board, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center Board, and Catholic Charities Board. He also chairs The United Way of the National Capital Area Board.

Robert R. Rooney has over 40 years of energy sector experience, holding roles of senior executive, advisor, founder, director and chairman of public and private energy companies. Mr. Rooney has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Enbridge Inc., Managing Director of Rimrock Oil and Gas, Vice Chairman of Repsol Oil & Gas Canada Inc. and Executive Vice President, Corporate of Talisman Energy Inc.
