Many neighbors in our communities need assistance with energy bills, and you can help by supporting the Washington Area Fuel Fund and Gift of Warmth initiatives. Washington Gas is proud to participate in these programs to help customers stay warm in the winter.

Washington Area Fuel Fund (WAFF)

Hard times can happen to anyone: a sudden job loss, a medical emergency, a pandemic. Many families are forced to choose between food and other essentials and having warm homes. Since 1983, the WAFF program has helped over 321,000 households keep their heat on while they get back on their feet. Please help our neighbors stay warm and get back on their feet in times of financial need.

Gift of Warmth

Would you like to assist a friend, neighbor or family member with paying their Washington Gas bill? Supporting the Gift of Warmth program is a thoughtful, practical and convenient gift for any occasion. You can easily make a one-time payment to a specific customer account or contribute toward the general assistance fund. Washington Gas will mail a Gift of Warmth acknowledgment certificate to the recipient.
